Lucy Waring Artist

Lucy lived in Southeast Asia for 18 years. Her first exhibition was at the Hong Kong Arts Center in 1976. In 1981 she took advantage of the various interesting examples of Jakarta street art. She assembled a large collection, viewed by more than 10,000 people, in the central Jakarta Park. It was called Kakilima and illustrated the best of the various available objects.

In 1997, her first exhibition in London was held at the Delphina Studios in Bermondsy. Her next exhibition, Soda Springs, was in the Barbican Center in London. Her last exhibition in London was presented by England and Co. It was called Ghost Houses and consisted of various 3 dimensional works and photographs. She is just completing 3 years of work in the form of 12 constructions called Just Use What You’ve Got. They were part of an exhibition at OK Harris in New York City.
